This issue is unrelated to BetterDisplay and could be fixed via changing some settings via the display's OSD probably. It might be that the display supports MST (multistream transport) and for some reason (for example due to an enabled PIP or PBP function or for some other reasons, like a daisy chained displayport connection if the display has a DP out port) it exposes itself to the OS as two displays instead of one. If you start up BetterDisplay, you can go to the Settings/Displays section and check the details of these displays and see if they are indeed seen as third party physical displays or not. BetterDisplay does not create a virtual display with a name of a physical display (that would create confusion - these displays by default - unless you intentionally renamed it - always has Dummy in it). Hi there - yes, probably something else is wrong. This technique allows all Macs (including Apple Silicon) to have any HiDPI 'Retina' resolution on any display you use. Sadly I still can't get anything in the Console except overall freezes until I stop streaming there.

If the display generally works (powers on, has some image) but complains about missing input, you should make sure that you did set the display to the proper input (for example you might be using the HDMI port to connect while the display is set to receive input from DisplayPort). The problem with the monitor is probably unrelated to the app, especially if the display does not work with any other computer connected. There is no functionality implemented that could make a display unable to detect an input.

It is a bit on the pricy spectrum for QHD, and it only does the entry level HDR (I believe HDR 400 8-bit?) but overall I am extremely satisfied with it.Hi app or the trial expiration is probably unrelated to the issue, as the app does not disable a display in any way (not even at trial expiration - quite the contrary, most things set up during the trial continue to work after the trial even if they are pro features). I always felt 24 was a bit small but 27 was starting to get a little blurry.25 inches works well for me although I sit reasonably close to the display and would probably go larger if my viewing distance was further. Panel quality is exceptional.there isn't a single bad pixel or even a hint of bleed, and this display has very good colorspace handling, including DCI-P3 (some reviewers noted its reproduction of blacks is its weak point.) It plays very well with my MacBook Pro's True is my first matte/anti-glare display and I was a bit worried about this blending with the glossy of my MBP, but turns out it works very well in practice. It is a bright USB-C monitor with a built-in hub (MST-capable) and provides power/charging. I recently upgraded older QHD Dells to their current flagship QHD UltraSharps, the U2520D.
